Panther Ridge Sanctuary
Panther Ridge Sanctuary
Panther Ridge Conservation Center is dedicated to providing a lifetime home and superior care for exotic felines that have been abandoned, abused, or neglected. Our animal residents represent many different species, including some species which are classified as highly endangered by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).
Panther Ridge Conservation Center provides public education concerning the challenges these animals face in the wild, the problems related to private ownership, and the programs that are trying to help these animals reestablish their populations. Panther Ridge Conservation Center believes that cooperative captive breeding programs, in situ conservation projects, and reintroduction programs will be the foundation upon which the repopulation of endangered feline species will be based.
For endangered species whose numbers have reached critical low numbers in the wild, captive breeding programs provide them with future options while in action would only ensures their demise.
Panther Ridge Conservation Center participates and collaborates in conservation programs worldwide with other organizations. We will be expanding our education programs in the future to include information regarding the worldwide conservation efforts in which Panther Ridge Conservation Center and other feline organizations are involved. We want to raise awareness of these efforts and encourage our visitors to get involved.
